We are seeking volunteers to judge high school research posters at the “Global High School Students’ Achievement Presentation,” scheduled for December.

In the past, we have asked professors of Kyushu University to serve as judges, but since last year, we have also invited graduate students to participate.

The reason is that we believe graduate students can serve as excellent role models for high school students who are eager to pursue research.
We would like to invite you to support the growth of these young high school students and provide them with advice on their research outcomes.

Event Details:

Date	Sunday, December 22, 2024
Location	Large Lecture Hall II, East Zone, Ito Campus, Kyushu University
Judging Time	12:45 PM – 2:10 PM (You will only be judging the preliminary round as indicated in the attached poster.)
Meeting Time	11:30 AM (There will be a briefing session for judges.)
Dismissal Time	3:00 PM
Compensation	¥1,100/hour, for a total of 4 hours (rounded up)
Lunch	Provided

Your Role:

• Utilize your knowledge and experience as a researcher to listen to high school students’ presentations and provide advice.
• Judge high school students’ research posters, fill out the evaluation forms based on the criteria, and submit them.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a student enrolled in the doctoral program at our university.
• Must have an interest in education and research.
• Must be willing to judge fields outside of your specialized research area.
• Must be able to provide comments in Japanese.
• Approximately 5 volunteers needed
  (If there are many applicants, we may only select some based on their fields, etc.)
