TitleDigital Signature Scheme Based on 2-dimensional Isogenies
Summary SQIsign is one of the candidates for NIST’s additional call for quantum-resistant signature schemes. It has attracted attention due to its very short signature and key sizes compared to other candidates. Meanwhile, many new schemes using high-dimensional isogenies have been proposed in recent years. One such scheme, called SQIsignHD, has even shorter signature sizes and lower computational costs for signature generation than SQIsign. However, it requires 4-dimensional isogeny computations for verification, resulting in high verification costs. NIST is seeking signature schemes with short signature sizes and fast verification, making the reduction of SQIsignHD’s verification costs an important issue. Recently, several signature schemes have been proposed that reduce verification costs by using only 2-dimensional isogeny computations. In this presentation, we will introduce several signature schemes using 2-dimensional isogenies, focusing on the scheme proposed by the speaker, and compare their performance.
