TitleUniform Cyclic Group Factorizations of Finite Groups
SummaryUniform cyclic group decomposition is a certain type of decomposition of a finite group, defined as an ordered set of cyclic subgroups that uniformly generate the elements of the group. This concept has applications in card-based cryptography, and it is known that if a group has a uniform cyclic group decomposition, the shuffle operation of the group can be converted into a sequence of shuffle operations of cyclic groups. In general, the latter shuffle operation can be implemented more naively than the former, so it is used as a method to implement complex operations simply. Therefore, whether any group has a uniform cyclic group decomposition is an important problem, but it remains unsolved to date. In this talk, I will state basic facts about uniform cyclic group decomposition and introduce the research results to date.

This research is collaborative study with Mr. Kazuki KANAI (Kure College), Mr. Kengo MIYAMOTO (Ibaraki University) and Mr. NUIDA Koji (Kyushu University)
