Ms. Kyoko Ikoma, a former representative secretary of the “Kansai Association of Corporate Executives” and president of Proassist, a software development company, passed away on August 15, 2023.

Ms. Kyoko Ikoma was given a congratulatory address as the representative secretary of the “Kansai Association of Corporate Executives” at the ceremony commemorating the establishment of the Joint Graduate School of Mathematics for Innovation, Kyushu University, and she spoke at the “Mathematical Science to Confront Infectious Diseases” held at IMI of Kyushu University and MMDS, Osaka University as part of the “Advanced Innovation Platform for Mathematics (AIMaP)” project, a science and technology experimental research commissioned by the MEXT of Japan as the Vice President of the Japan Association of WHO.
In those speeches, Ms. Ikoma expressed her understanding and expectations for mathematics and mathematical sciences and supported the activities of the Joint Graduate School of Mathematics for Innovation and IMI in various ways.
