| Title | The journey from visualizing data to working at two car company |
| Abstract | In the field of electronics and communications that I chose as my major in college, mathematical thinking was essential before things could actually be used in the world. I thought that was interesting, so I chose this as the theme for my graduation research. Right now, you can handle mobile devices across all kinds of frequency bands. But getting to this point took an enormous amount of effort by seniors. Over the past 10 or 20 years, there’s been huge progress. In my case, I wasn’t assigned to a department where I could immediately continue in my specialty, but in this field that mixes electronics, mechanics, and design, you encounter all sorts of challenges. In this talk, I would like to introduce the field of computational electromagnetics. And I learned about when I was a student and also talk about how I apply my specialty in my actual work at an automotive company. Right now, I’m working in society but I think many of you may be wondering ‘How can I use my specialty in society in the future?’ . There are all kinds of industries, but when you don’t know what you can do, and when you need to go back to basics and think about principles and how to solve problems, math skills are essential. I hope to share, as much as I can, what actually happened and give you a sense of how things work in practice. |
